Rules

The Evansville New Venture Creation Competition (ENVCC) helps student teams fund and start new business ventures. The teams present their ideas to a board of investors who evaluate the merits of the plans. Each team should demonstrate the characteristics that will make its business successful as well as demonstrate its need for funding.

The mission of the Evansville New Venture Creation Competition is to:

  1. identify and encourage entrepreneurship in the Evansville area that will result in business development;
  2. provide a positive educational experience for students;
  3. expose their business ideas to venture capitalist, angel investors and business executives;

Prizes

  • 1st Place $10,000
  • 2nd Place $5,000
  • 3rd Place $2,500

Special Prizes

Audience Favorite Winners have the opportunity to be mentored through Old National Bank, the Midwest Venture Club and the Metropolitian Evansville Chamber of commerce's Small business Development Center(SBDC). Additionally, the first place winner is eligible to be a presenter at a Midwest Venture Club meeting.
