Management Professor Wins Governor's Award for Tomorrow's Leaders Greg Rawski, assistant professor of management at UE, has just received notification that he has received the 2006 Indiana Governor’s Award for Tomorrow’s Leaders. The award was developed by the Indiana Humanities Council to bring attention to excellence and achievements in entrepreneurial leadership, community leadership, educational leadership and cultural leadership. As an award recipient, he will attend the 2006 Indiana Leadership Summit June 6-8 in Indianapolis. He will also receive $1,000, which he said he will use as seed money to create an annual scholarship for young student leaders at UE. Rawski’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to redesign the Operations Management course at UE to include a 40-page strategic operation report and presentation of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Plant. In another course, The American Corporation, he invited presidents of five local companies to speak to the students. Rawski is active in the community and has assisted in the Evansville tornado relief by assessing damage to 25 homes. He led his classes in five other community service projects. Rawski is a member of the Young Profesionals of Evansville (YEP), President of the UE chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and has been a girls basketball coach sending 18 players to college with over $1 million in scholarships.
