Toyota’s impact put at $1.4 billion
UE Business Professor Gale Blalock presented his research findings concerning the economic impact of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana’s Princeton, Indiana operations at a gathering of community business leaders on October 20, 2004. The study indicated that Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana generates an economic impact of about $1.4 billion a year in the Evansville metropolitan area. The study was conducted by Gale Blalock, professor of economics and chairman of the department of accounting and business administration at the University of Evansville, and Mohammed Khayum, professor of economics and associate dean of the Business School at the University of Southern Indiana.
