University of Evansville

The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration

Purpose and Vision

To enable the University of Evansville to achieve its vision of global education for the School of Business Administration, the University proposes to establish the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana as the fundamental engine for creating community engagement opportunities.

Core Purpose:

The core purpose of the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana is to expand global business opportunities and function as an integral part of the active collaborative learning model. The Institute will improve the level of learning and research on Indiana products in the global market place, while creating an expanded pool of culturally sensitive and highly trained employees for those businesses as they seek to respond to the global economy.

Vision:

The Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana will be a leading forum for global business theory and application by becoming a national center for the creation and dissemination of knowledge on global business issues and the concepts of technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Institute will enable the School to reinforce and/or introduce key concepts without the traditional academic segmentation. The Institute will enable the School of Business Administration to lead change in the Indiana business environment by linking the educational and practice concepts in business education. To support the international training and outreach requirements, the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana will develop international and regional initiatives to stimulate both new business and the expansion of existing businesses.
