Michael Trachtenberg is Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Evansville this year. He expects to receive his Ph. D. in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans in 2010. He has also earned an MS in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans, a JD from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Rice University. His current research interests include effects of regulation on capital structure, agency issues revealed in accounting data, and the effectiveness of financial education.
