I'm Ronald M. Faust, Ph.D. Professor of Human Resources Management .

Contact me at any time at (812) 488-2867 &/or rf2@evansville.edu

I earned a BBA in Personnel Management from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas. After serving in the Marine Corps I earned an MBA in Industrial Relations from the University of Iowa. After teaching at St. Cloud State College, and Evansville College, for several years, I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, in Industrial Relations and Management. Yes, that makes me a Washburn Ichabod and an Iowa Hawkeye.

I have been a member of the UE faculty since 1964 and that makes me the senior professor of the University—and a “dyed-in-the-wool” UE Aces fan.

I am President of the North American Management Society, having served as its national Program Chair last year and Membership Chair the year before. Check us out at https://www.baker.edu/nams/new/index.htm

These are the courses I teach:

  • Principles of Management 300
  • Human Resources Management 306
  • Compensation Management 402
  • Leadership, Management 412
  • Comparative/Global Human Resources Management 480
  • World Cultures 110

I have taught at Harlaxton three semesters, in 1997, 1999, and 2004. I hope to return to Harlaxton in the Spring of 2008. I’m an avid adherent of study abroad, especially at Harlaxton, come talk to me about this.

I am faculty advisor to the UE student chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management, which is sponsored by the Evansville Human Resources Association and the national Society for Human Resource Management. Management students are encouraged to join and take advantage of the networking job-search opportunities and practical human resource programs.

I'm an SAE and try to help my fraternity. I’m faculty advisor to the Indiana Epsilon chapter of SAE.

My research interests involve Diversity/Harassment  and Discrimination studies, U.S., U.K., and E.U.

My consulting includes:

  • Arbitration of Labor-Management Grievances
  • Application of Selection Testing in Private Businesses
  • Developing Diversity Programs for Business

My charity work occurs in the Evansville Downtown Civitan Club, where I've been a member for more than 30 years.  I am the Downtown Civitan Club President—this is my third term as President. I've held most of the offices in it, and received many honors for my work in Civitan.  We support the Special Olympics and special citizens, and many other community services and needs.  We built the Four Freedoms Monument downtown, among many other projects.  We do “Drums-on-the-Ohio” drum and bugle corps competition each year. We'd be happy if you'd like to join us or get information about our work.
