Soumen De is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Evansville, where he has served on the faculty since 1988. Dr. De received his DBA in Finance from Southern Illinois University in 1988. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Indian Institute of Management and a B.Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology. His current research interests include International Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions. Dr. De has conducted a two-week seminar in Financial Analysis for the executives of Whirlpool Corporation. He has also conducted The Merrill Lynch Certified Financial Managers Program for the Account Executives of Merrill Lynch. He also began the "Why College?" summer program at the University of Evansville under the auspices of the Eli Lilly Grant.  His teaching interests include Corporate and International Finance and Financial Institutions and Money & Banking.  He was named a UE Global Scholar for the 2007-2008 academic year.
