| BUS 269 |
Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship (2) |
Introduces the topic of entrepreneurship in a classroom setting. Includes overview of entrepreneurial processes and behaviors, e.g., becoming a business owner, developing and managing the unique challenges of operating a new venture, and successful exit strategies. The major portion of the course focuses on student teams’ development of a business plan for a new venture. Course enrollment is limited to students majoring in Business Administration or Accounting. Credit for Bus 269 is contingent upon subsequent completion of its companion course, Bus 270: Experience in Entrepreneurship. Prerequisites: Economics 102 and Accounting 210 (can be taken concurrently with Accounting 210). Fall. |

Experience in Entrepreneurship (2) |
This course is an applied experience in entrepreneurship. Enrollment in this course requires prior successful completion of Bus 269: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship. Under the supervision of a faculty member, student teams will initiate and run a new business venture based on the business plan that was reviewed and approved at the conclusion of Bus 269. Course enrollment is limited to students majoring in Business Administration or Accounting. Upon the successful completion of Bus 270, credit will be awarded for both Bus 269 and Bus 270. Prerequisite: Business 269. Spring. |

Internship in Business (3) |
A structured assignment which allows the student to gain practical experience in the business world relating to an area of career interest. The student is directed by the internship director and supervised by a member of the cooperating organization. Prerequisite: Finance 361, Management 377, Marketing 325, and permission of the SOBA internship director. |
